The Office of the Registrar has produced grade distribution reports since 1976 in response to a Bloomington Faculty Council mandate. Since 1994, those reports have been collected in an online format.
Access the Grade Distribution Database »Course-level data is queryable by term, instructor, school, and department. The application is open to the public and used on a daily basis for both institutional research and student enrollment planning.
You can view static versions of aggregate grade distribution information in the historical aggregates section, or use the aggregate reporting database for additional search and output options. Note that data in the aggregate reporting database is only available beginning with the Fall 2011 data set.
Be sure to review the report definitions and data field explanations for important information about the columns and calculations.
