Welcome to the Office of the Registrar
Enrollment Reports
The Office of the Registrar Enrollment Reports are published three times a year: Fall, Spring, and Summer Terms. These Enrollment Reports present commonly used and requested information on enrollment, such as past enrollment and credit hour figures, student profiles, grades, student persistence, and degrees conferred. The primary emphasis is on the current term enrollment; however, additional comparative data for selected years are presented with commentary to highlight current enrollment trends. When available, national, Big Ten, and state trends are also presented.
Most of the information contained in these publications results from the analysis of data collected from detailed enrollment statistical reports, which are cited throughout the report. Most term data reflect the end of the first week of classes, which is the official cut-off date. For summer sessions within a term, official enrollment data are captured approximately mid way through the session.
Data in this report focus on campus enrollment management and operations to support campus planning activities, and therefore, may not agree with official enrollment data that focus on prescribed formulas. Official enrollment data are released by University Reporting and Research in compliance with national and state standards set by external agencies.
Data definitions and methods of calculations are explained throughout this report. Our selections of analytical approaches are not the only ones possible. The collective use of simple formulas to meet all the data needs at a complex institution is not attainable. If you encounter data other than what appears in these publications, you should probe for the data source, methodology used to produce the results and the intended use for the data.
