GPA Calculator
Disclaimer: This calculator is not tied to the Student Information System. The results are based only on the data you supply.
To calculate your GPA for the current semester, first type the number of classes in which you are enrolled into the box labeled Number of Classes and click the Submit Number of Classes button. Next, type the number of credit hours and the grade received/expected in the Semester Credit Hours and Projected Grade fields, pressing the <Tab> key to move from field to field. Semester Credit Points will be calculated automatically. When you are finished entering the hours and grades, click the Calculate Semester GPA button.
To see how these grades will affect your overall GPA, enter your Undergraduate, Graduate, or Cumulative GPA Hours and Points from your latest grade report or from the Indiana University Summary section of your Unofficial Transcript (available in the Student Center in OneStart) in the fields beneath the heading Overall Course Work, then click Calculate Current GPA. The totals which appear in (current) GPA Hours, Points & Current GPA fields represent the information you have provided from your Unofficial Transcript, plus a GPA calculated from your input. The Projected GPA Hours, Points, and Projected GPA fields which appear immediately beneath the "current" calculations represent the input beneath the Current Semester Work added to you Overall Course Work.
The Start Over link will clear all data fields.
Note: For details about grade calculation, please refer to the Grade Information page.
